OpenAI Brings ChatGPT to Android

Updated: Sep 25, 2023

OpenAI has announced that it will be launching an Android version of its popular artificial intelligence chatbot tool, ChatGPT, in the coming week. The Android app is launching a few months after the free iOS app brought the chatbot to iPhones and iPads. The ChatGPT app is free to use and syncs your history across devices. It also integrates Whisper, OpenAI's open-source speech-recognition system, enabling voice input.

The Android app is expected to offer improved security measures compared to the web version and will also offer features like conversation history synchronization across devices.

The app will be available on the Google Play Store, and users can register to get it installed once the app is available.
